Gamboa continues to maintain a low and friendly scale on the first two levels, with a permeable commercial base that houses public spaces at key points to promote better urban and social conditions. Inside, the focal space is connected to the original corridor with different green areas, outdoors and adding cultural spaces.
One of the characteristics of this expansion is continuing to maintain Gamboa’s DNA providing a space for the community and its collective appropriation, where architecture plays an important role in the collective imagination; therefore, a sober and timeless display is proposed, but under a reinterpretation and an evident evolution of the original project.
